Extended Coverage 2019 – Program Pricing Updates

A pricing action is taking place on New Engine extended coverage plans for products registered on or after January 1, 2019. There will be a $50 increase across all X15™, ISX12/X12™, and B6.7™ programs to cover the rising cost of materials. This is not a reflection of the reliability or durability of Cummins products, which remain best in class.

Evidence of Cummins confidence in the proven dependability of our products can be seen in the expansion of our X15 Efficiency Series Protection Plan 1 program, which will now include a 5-year/550,000-mile option and a 5-year/600,000-mile option. Further evidence comes with the announcement that automotive extended coverage options for the Cummins L9 engine will be cut in half (-50%) for 3-year terms, and up to 26 percent for 4- and 5-year extended coverage programs.

This is great news for owners of vocational vehicles, transit buses and work trucks, as well as any customer seeking peace of mind against unexpected repair costs or simply managing a long-range budget.
