Cummins Acquires Battery Systems Business for Electric and Hybrid Commercial Vehicles

Cummins has acquired Johnson Matthey Battery Systems (JMBS), a primarily high-voltage battery designer in the United Kingdom. This comes on the heels of Cummins recently announced acquisition of Brammo, a primarily low-voltage battery designer headquartered in North America. With the strategic acquisitions of JMBS and Brammo, Cummins now has capabilities across the entire range of electric storage, accelerating its electrification and energy storage capabilities and furthering its commitment to offer your customers a full portfolio of power options for their vehicles.
