Extended Coverage Plans for Cummins ISX15 and ISB6.7

In today’s economy customers want to know that they are protected against unexpected expenses both today and long into the future. Your customers have specific needs for the engines they purchase, so Cummins offers multiple Protection Plan options. Extended Coverage plans offered in 2014 will not change for 2013 engines.

Cummins 2013 ISX15 Truck Extended Coverage Plans
Several options are available for Cummins 2013 ISX15 engine customers.

  • Protection Plan 1 is the most comprehensive package, covering major components plus the turbocharger, water pump and fuel injectors,* and it now includes the air compressor, select engine sensors and the fuel pump, for terms ranging from 3 to 5 years or 100,000 to 500,000 miles (160,934-804,672 km). Registered parts and labor are also included.
  • Protection Plan 2 covers internal components and major engine systems, with terms ranging from 3 to 7 years or 250,000 to 500,000 miles (402,336-804,672 km).
  • Cummins Aftertreatment System Extended Coverage ranges from 3 to 5 years or 100,000 to 500,000 miles (160,934-804,672 km). Components covered include the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC), Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) assemblies and the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) dosing system, along with the ammonia sensor. This coverage must be purchased in conjunction with Protection Plan 1 of equal duration.
  • Major Components Coverage Plan covers major castings and forgings, plus registered parts and labor on covered failures for 5 to 7 years or 500,000 to 700,000 miles (804,672-1,126,541 km).

*The aftertreatment injector is not included in this coverage.

Cummins 2013 ISB6.7 Truck Extended Coverage Plans
2013 ISB6.7 engine customers can choose the extended coverage terms that best meet their needs.

  • Protection Plan 1 covers internal components and major engine systems for 3 to 5 years or 100,000 to 300,000 miles (160,934-482,803 km), including the air compressor, water pump, turbocharger, fuel pump and fuel injectors.
  • Protection Plan 2 covers the major engine systems and components for 3 to 7 years or 100,000 to 300,000 miles (160,934-482,803 km).
  • Cummins Aftertreatment System Extended Coverage includes the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC), Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) assemblies, the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) dosing system and the ammonia sensor. This coverage must be purchased in conjunction with Protection Plan 1 of equal duration.

As customers enroll in an Extended Coverage Plan, it is important to make sure that the correct “in service” date is used. Helping your customers to get the exact extended coverage plan they need at the outset is critical, as Extended Coverage cannot be changed or modified after purchase.

Customers can find base engine warranty information in their Owners Manual. Information about the base engine warranty and extended coverage plans is available for download online in the 2013 Heavy-Duty Coverage brochure or 2013 Medium-Duty Coverage brochure, found at international.cummins.com.
