Navistar® Adds Cummins ISB6.7 for DuraStar® Trucks

Customers buying International® DuraStar® medium-duty trucks now have the option of ordering a Cummins ISB6.7 engine. Navistar is taking orders now for DuraStar trucks with Cummins ISB6.7 engines. Initial truck builds will start this month, with full production scheduled for December 2013.

The ISB6.7 is a proven product that has been meeting 2014 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards for reduced greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) and increased fuel economy since the start of 2013. In fact, the 2013 ISB6.7 gets up to 2 percent better fuel economy than the previous model-year, with near-zero emissions levels. Cummins Aftertreatment System is part of a fully integrated package that has been in wide use in North America since 2010.

In addition to reducing fuel use and emissions, the excellent power-to-weight ratio of the ISB6.7 and responsiveness of Cummins VGT™ Turbocharger improve the overall performance of DuraStar trucks.

ISB6.7 ratings for DuraStar trucks range from 200 hp to 300 hp (149-224 kW) with 520 lb-ft to 660 lb-ft (705-895 N•m) of peak torque. Visit the ISB6.7 engine page on cumminsengines.com or international.cummins.com for additional details.
