New Driver Training Videos on YouTube

The CumminsEngines YouTube channel contains videos that explain the features of Cummins engines to your customers, as well as how drivers can maximize vehicle operation using these engines. The two new driver training videos provide an overview of the dashboard lamps for Cummins on-highway engines, along with the actions a driver may need to take when these lamps illuminate.

The first video, Cummins On-Highway 2013 Diesel Dash Lamps, Part 1/2, is one of two videos on dash lamps. It provides a description of the various lamps associated with the emissions control system on 2007 and newer diesel engines, including the progression of lamps that indicate low DEF levels, the High Exhaust System Temperature (HEST) lamp that illuminates during an aftertreatment regeneration event and more.

The second video, Cummins On-Highway 2013 Diesel Dash Lamps, Part 2/2, covers general engine lamps, including a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL).

These driver training videos are an easy way to educate anyone new to emissions technology, whether they are members of your sales force or customers who are transitioning from older vehicles. Of course, there are many other training videos available on this channel as well, covering everything from how to spec a truck using aerodynamic aids, to driving tips that can help customers get the best fuel economy. Engine features such as Load-Based Speed Control (LBSC), Gear-Down Protection (GDP) and Road Speed Governor (RSG) are covered in detail. Best of all, they’re available for customers to view whenever it is most convenient for them.
